What the buyer says
NHS Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board (CW ICB) are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced providers for the provision of a comprehensive Pre-Front Door Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) model across Coventry and Warwickshire. This model requires a single, accountable Lead Provider in each of the two geographical areas: Coventry (Lot 1) and Warwickshire (Lot 2) The appointed Lead Providers will be responsible for the end-to-end design, mobilisation, delivery, clinical governance and continuous improvement of a whole-system urgent care pathway spanning NHS 111 interfaces, GP out of hours, UTC/MIU, ambulance conveyance alternatives, Emergency Department front-door streaming, same-day emergency care, diagnostics, community response and neighbourhood urgent care pathways. The ICB is not seeking a provider of isolated urgent care components. It is seeking an organisation with the scale, capability, and system leadership to deliver an integrated Lead Provider model. Providers must therefore bring together all interdependent services, healthcare professionals and current Providers, including urgent primary care, community response, and mental health crisis interfaces, into a coherent, accountable and high-performing model. Contract Length is expected to be 5 years, commencing 1st September 2027 with the Commissioner having the option to extend the Contract for up to a further 5 years.
