About the grant
The EIT Food Biotech Proof of Concept call supports biotech start-ups across two development gaps. Route 1 (Validation) targets TRL 4–6 technologies requiring validation, infrastructure and industry partnerships. Route 2 (Demonstrator) targets TRL 7–9 technologies requiring larger-scale demonstration, co-financing and industrial partnerships to reach commercial deployment. The TRL at the call deadline determines the route; the same technology cannot apply to both.
